The rocks are red, something is blue, what I know for sure, is I love you.
Ahhh , the beauty of elopements. I love the way that they remind you of what true love is all about. The simplicity, the elegance, the romance - oh my! Meet Mike and Kassandra, they are nothing short of a classic love story with a modern twist. Meeting online and quickly falling in love, no distance was too great for them to overcome! An Arizona gal meets a New Jersey man.
They decided to invite their family members for a trip to come visit, little did they know Mike and Kassandra had something extra special planned. Surprise! We are eloping in the midst of Sedona's Red Rock beauty. Wow! There is no wrong or right way to elope. I know many brides torn between the idea of eloping and the traditional nuptials. The argument is almost always the same, "but I want my family to be there." They absolutely can be! Let yourself be free from the confines of what a "traditional elopement" looks like. (How ironic, a traditional elopement - lol) Let Mike and Kassandra serve as the perfect example of all that you can do!
Untraditionally, Kassandra also chose to wear black which was a beautiful contrast in the deep rich clay colors that surrounded them. They hired a service called Sedona Elopement Weddings, where they helped with the logistics from location, to ceremony, vows and licensing. It was a beautiful golden hour elopement that toke about a whole 30 minutes from start to end. There were smiles laughs tears and shivers. Yes, you read that right.
The weather was being rather finicky on their big day. From rain to snow and of course freezing temperatures Mike and Kassandra had some obstacles to plan for. No matter what, the couple were going to be officially Man and Wife. Lucky for them, their 30 minutes stayed clear of cloudy coverage, fog, snow and rain. But boy, was it cold! Mike and Kassandra were champs as you can see in the pictures. They must have been warmed by the love in their hearts because there's not a coat in sight!
At the end of the day, all that truly matters was the opportunity for two to become one witnessed by their closest loved ones. Erase all the expectations you feel haunting you about planning your day. Choose what feels right for you and your fiance and you won't regret a thing. Want to elope in the Red Rocks of Sedona!? Send me a message let's get the planning started!

I had nothing short of an absolutely PERFECT experience working with Ash. My intimate wedding took place in beautiful scenic Sedona right on a nature trail, and she made sure to capture not just my husband and I's love for each other, but also the GORGEOUS red rocks surrounding us. She used the natural lighting and landscape and made sure it was incorporated in every shot. She was candid throughout the ceremony, and I never noticed her zipping around taking so many amazing photos and getting every angle! Her creative eye baffles me, and I am obsessed with the album I received. I absolutely look forward to having more sessions with Ash in the future and would highly recommend her to anyone.
