Ahhh engagement bliss, there's nothing quite like it! Before I was a photographer I was soon to be married and I really didn't think engagement pictures were necessary. WRONG. Sorry that was aggressive but I'm also being completely serious. I ended up getting engagement photos done because my sister told me I would regret it. "It only happens once," she told me. Believe it or not I'm not great in front of the camera(only behind it lol) so I was really skeptical. My sisters voice popped up in my head over and over and I decided to bite the bullet and get them done! They are some of my favorite pictures to this day.

Why do engagement pictures stand out above all the rest? Because they are the perfect iteration of you as a couple. What do I mean? Your engagement shoot can be setup to be as genuine and true to you as possible. You love board games? Great let's break out scrabble and play on the floor. Love going to the diner together? Get in the booth and split a milkshake. Love to be outside? Where's your favorite place - let's go! Two different vibes? Outfit change. Two different locations? I'm right behind you. An engagement photography session is the perfect opportunity to embody you and your fiance in photos that will last you a life time. Your personality SHINES in these pictures. When you look back at them they FEEL like you. They stand the test of time because your personality doesn't fade over time. 

I love engagement sessions more than any type of wedding service photography. I could argue, if you do them right, you'll love them more than your wedding pictures. I said what I said. And of course you'll do them right because I'll be here for you through the whole process!

How engagement sessions go with me as your photographer:

1. We hop on a call together so I can get a feel for your personalities and what you'd like to get out of this session. This is where we will brainstorm together on what direction we should take to get the most authentic versions of you in these photos. If you have a clear vision you can take the wheel! If you love what's described above but have no idea where to start I will lead the way. I have a client questionnaire to help if you are really stuck. 
2. We pick a date, time , location that's fitting for what's discussed above. 
3. We iron out all the details and meet for our session! 
4. I will edit your beautifully genuine photos and deliver them via a personalized digital link within 3 weeks of our session.

If you book an engagement photography session with me and a wedding package you'll receive a discount! If you want the engagement session before you have wedding details ready I'd be happy to honor that discount if you'd like to hire me for full wedding day services. I'll apply the discount to your wedding day photography package!
